The deadline for payment of real estate tax is approaching

Property owners in particular should take note. The tax administration has already sent out payment instructions regarding the real estate tax. Taxpayers can receive information on the amount of tax via data box, email or by post in the form of a deposit slip, depending on the form of delivery of documents from the tax office. 
 

Property owners are reminded that this year the deadline for paying the tax is 2 June 2025. For taxpayers whose tax does not exceed £5,000, this is a single annual payment. For taxpayers who are assessed more than C$5,000 or have multiple properties located in more than one county, the payment can be split into two installments, the first of which is due on June 2, 2025, and the second installment is due by December 1, 2025.

"The most convenient way to pay your tax is through online banking. The payment information on the deposit slip, in an e-mail or a data message also contains a QR code, after which the necessary data is filled in," adds Simona Hornochová, Director General of the Financial Administration.
