On 13 October 2025, the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic started sending personal letters and data messages as part of the third phase of the Tax Echo  project. In this way, the Financial Administration informs taxpayers about probable discrepancies in their tax returns. The notice concerns tax liabilities for the years 2023 and 2024 and is sent to taxpayers who claimed a tax deduction for pension savings that were terminated early. If a taxpayer receives such a notice, they can correct the error voluntarily, without penalties being imposed or a tax audit being initiated.
