EET 2.0: New features, web application and go-live date
Following the opening of the test environment for developers of cash register systems in July, preparations for EET 2.0 are moving into the next phase, which will enable entrepreneurs themselves to get involved. According to the schedule published by the Financial Administration, the features needed to prepare for the launch of electronic sales registration will be available from 1 November 2026 in the Tax Information Box Plus (DIS+) on the MOJE daně portal.
Through DIS+, entrepreneurs will be able to:
- register for electronic sales registration,
- report recording units, such as business premises where they accept payments,
- generate a cash register certificate, which is used to verify the sales data being sent.
The certificate must be installed in the cash register system in use before electronic sales registration begins. DIS+ will also subsequently allow users to check summary data on registered sales.
The MOJE eet application will be launched on 1 December 2026. It will allow sales to be registered directly through an internet browser, without the need to install software. It will be intended primarily for small entrepreneurs with a lower volume of transactions and no more than two recording units. In addition to registering sales and sending the data to the Financial Administration, it will allow users to create a catalogue of goods and services with preset prices and generate documents in PDF format.
Electronic sales registration itself will begin on 1 January 2027. The Financial Administration describes January as a pilot period focused on verifying that the system works and providing methodological support to entrepreneurs. However, sales registration will be in standard operation from the beginning of the year.
Current information and methodological materials are available on the government portal.
